Radiator Covers: Measuring

RADIATOR COVER MEASURING INSTRUCTIONS

Width: Measure beyond pipes and valves on both ends.  Add at least 2" to total radiator width for clearance. (diagram W)

Height: Measure from floor to top of radiator. Add at least one inch to this measurement (diagram H)

Depth: Measure depth of radiator and add at least 1" to this measurement. If you would like the radiator cover to go to the wall, measure from the wall to the point of the radiator furthest from the wall (diagram D)

Make certain that enclosures can be slipped over the top. If radiator is recessed, give height of radiator and height of bottom sill or opening, and we will make suitable back-apron to slip in. We can also make the unit without a back for ease of installation. However, we do not suggest a tight fit for recessed or semi-recessed radiators.

Add at least 2" or more to the existing width of your radiator.

Add at least 1" or more to the existing height of your radiator.

Add at least 1" or more to the existing depth of your radiator. (2" for Oxford, Cambridge, Newport, Eton)

When floor is uneven order with adjustable legs.

On enclosures over 34" high, we can at no additional cost provide you with a valve door if desired. Advise us which side your valve is located.
